NEW ROSS — Ethel B. Hayes, 92, of Rt. 1, New Ross, died Wednesday night in the Golden Manor Health Care Center at Ladoga. She was a member of the Mace United Methodist Church. She was born near Linden on Aug. 21, 1883, a daughter of Albert K. and Maude Martin Peterson. She married Homer Hayes on Feb. 12, 1908. He died on Aug. 21, 1951. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Raymond Linn of Rt. 1, New Ross, Mrs. Marvin Helmberger of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Frances Whalen of Indianapolis; two sons, Paul of Rt. 1, New Ross, and Harold of Rt. 2, Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Bess Simpson of La Paz; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery near Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.--waw
